Trust Fellowship 2026
The New York City Public Housing Preservation Trust is excited to welcome its 2026 Fellowship cohort. From June 8 through August 14, 2026, our fellows will work alongside Trust staff to support the update of the Resident Partnerships Roadmap, helping strengthen and document the Trust's approach to resident engagement across every stage of modernization. Meet our 2026 fellows below, and check back at the conclusion of the program to learn about their experience and the impact of their work.
Soreti Daba
Soreti Daba is a current senior at Barnard College studying Information Science and Public Health. Along with her studies, she has poured into the city's communities through campus leadership involvement, academic research pursuits, and community service work. She has a passion for creating solutions for communities that aid systemic issues while driving positive impact. She looks forward to continuing to sharpen her skills through this fellowship.
Genesis Dacosta
Genesis Dacosta is a senior at John Jay College of Criminal Justice majoring in Political Science with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship. Born and raised in New York City public housing, she is passionate about environmental sustainability, housing justice, and building stronger, more equitable communities. She's excited to learn more about resident engagement and the policies shaping housing conditions for New Yorkers. After graduating, Genesis plans to attend law school to support underrepresented communities.
