Nostrand Houses – Scope of Work
The scope of work for Nostrand Houses includes the following improvements across the development:
Full kitchen and bathroom renovations, including approximately 7% accessible units and 4% hearing/vision accessible units, as well as a new on-site Property Management Office
Ventilation upgrades
Local Law 11 façade repairs and full window replacement
Electrification of space heating and repairs to the existing hot water system
Full plumbing and electrical upgrades
Elevator replacement
Pest and waste management improvements
Hazardous material abatement

Construction – Summer 2026 to Winter 2030

Overview
This schedule is tentative and based on the completion of design and financing. Construction will take place in six phases, with work occurring in 2–3 buildings per phase.
During each phase, residents in the affected buildings will be temporarily relocated for approximately nine months. Residents will receive advance notice and additional information before any relocation occurs.
No one is being asked to move now.
Future meetings will be held to explain the relocation process in detail.
